A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has questioned Kadakampally Surendran, a CPI(M) MLA and former Devaswom Minister, as part of its probe into the alleged loss of gold from Sabarimala temple. Surendran confirmed his statement was recorded last week, as he held the ministerial post when the gold went missing. The SIT also questioned former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president P.S. Prasanth. Ten people, including two ex-TDB presidents, have been arrested in the ongoing investigation.
