Dr Sangram Patil, a UK-based NHS consultant of Indian origin, was stopped at Mumbai airport on January 19 due to an active Look Out Circular linked to a cybercrime case over a social media post critical of the BJP. He was questioned by Mumbai Police in connection with alleged defamatory remarks but was not arrested. Despite prior assurances that the circular would be withdrawn before his departure, immigration officials prevented his travel. The case is under investigation by Mumbai Crime Branch Unit III.
