Erfan Soltani, a 26-year-old Iranian protester detained during recent anti-government demonstrations, has not been sentenced to death, according to Iran's judiciary. He faces charges of "colluding against internal security" and "propaganda activities against the regime," which do not carry the death penalty under Iranian law. Soltani is held in Karaj's central penitentiary. Earlier reports of his imminent execution sparked international concern, but his family and human rights groups confirmed no execution occurred on the scheduled date.
