Jammu and Kashmir Police have initiated preventive action against over 130 individuals across Kashmir for possessing and using Virtual Private Network (VPN) applications on their mobile phones. The use of VPNs has been banned in all 10 districts of the valley for the past week, following orders issued by district magistrates under the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. Police stated that while no terror links were found, security proceedings were initiated against those violating the prohibitory orders, with genuine users released after warnings.
