North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw a test of 600mm-calibre multiple rocket launchers, described by state media as nuclear-capable and ultra-precision. The launch targeted an island in the East Sea about 360 kilometers away with reported full accuracy. The drill involved twelve rocket launchers and two artillery companies and was attended by Kim's daughter, Ju Ae. The test coincided with ongoing US-South Korea military exercises and was framed by Pyongyang as a demonstration of tactical nuclear deterrence.
