
India and Nepal signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance bilateral cooperation in forests, wildlife, environment, biodiversity conservation, and climate change. The MoU focuses on strategies for conserving key species like elephants, Gangetic dolphins, rhinoceros, snow leopards, tigers, and vultures. It also aims to strengthen forest management, restore wildlife corridors, combat forest and wildlife crime, build enforcement capacity, and promote green infrastructure in biodiversity hotspots, reflecting shared ecosystems and transboundary habitats.
