Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann asserted the government's legal right to investigate the disappearance of 328 'saroops' (sacred copies) of the Guru Granth Sahib, expressing concern over potential desecration. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) accused Mann of politicizing the issue and attempting to mislead the Sikh community. This follows a directive from the Akal Takht's Singh Sahiban asking the AAP government to cease interference in Sikh internal matters or face action.
