Karnataka Lokayukta Conducts Raids on Officials Over Disproportionate Assets

On March 5, Karnataka Lokayukta officials conducted raids across multiple districts targeting government officials, including Assistant Executive Engineer M.C. Satyanarayana of Hassan City Corporation, over allegations of disproportionate assets. The team faced delays entering Satyanarayana's residence, gaining access after nearly three hours. Searches uncovered valuables worth over ₹6.82 crore, exceeding 200% of his declared income. Investigations are ongoing, with further searches planned. Other officials, such as Chief Engineer Vasantappa Nayak, were also subject to raids in connection with similar complaints.
