Uttar Pradesh is experiencing a severe cold wave and dense fog, prompting the state government to implement relief measures. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to activate night shelters, distribute blankets, and light bonfires to protect citizens. Over 1,200 night shelters have been established, accommodating nearly 10,000 people. Significant funds have been allocated for blanket procurement and distribution, with a substantial number already supplied and distributed to the needy across the state.
