A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has requested records from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) regarding 328 missing saroops. An SGPC official stated the records were previously handed to an Akal Takht probe panel and are now with the Akal Takht secretariat. The acting Jathedar of Akal Takht is considering the matter, with Sikh clergy opposing government interference. SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami urged the state government to avoid confrontation and focus on governance, alleging unnecessary intervention.
