The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) has appealed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene in alleged incidents of harassment and violence against Kashmiri students and shawl vendors in Himachal Pradesh. The association cited a recent assault on a Kashmiri shawl seller in Kangra district and stated that despite multiple representations, effective action and FIR registrations have been lacking, fostering an atmosphere of fear among Kashmiris in the state.
