Mobile internet services have been restored in Assam's Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts after a five-day suspension following violent clashes over alleged illegal land encroachment. The decision to lift the ban, effective Sunday morning, was made due to an improved and normalized law and order situation. The unrest, which occurred on December 22-23, resulted in two deaths and injuries to over 170 security personnel. Strict security measures and prohibitory orders remain in place as normalcy gradually returns to the affected areas.
