The Delhi High Court granted an ex parte ad-interim injunction protecting singer Jubin Nautiyal's personality rights against unauthorized AI-generated content. The court barred AI platforms, online intermediaries, and others from using his name, voice, image, and likeness for commercial purposes without consent, citing potential irreparable harm to his reputation. The suit highlighted misuse through voice cloning, deepfakes, digital avatars, and merchandise sales. The court noted Nautiyal's strong prima facie case but questioned its territorial jurisdiction as he is based in Uttarakhand.
