The BJP and Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, key partners in the Mahayuti alliance, have reached a consensus on seat-sharing for 207 out of 227 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) wards. The BJP will contest 128 seats and the Shiv Sena 79, with final decisions on the remaining 20 seats pending. Talks are ongoing for other municipal corporations as the nomination deadline nears. The alliance aims to present a united front against opposition parties.
