A State Bank of India (SBI) report suggests states will collectively gain approximately Rs 17,000 crore under the proposed Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (VB-G RAM G) Act, compared to the previous MGNREGA's average allocation. The report counters concerns that a new 60:40 funding ratio (Centre-state) will burden states, arguing the revised framework improves fund distribution. While most states are projected to be net gainers, the report notes minimal losses for Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, with Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra expected to gain the most.
