Singapore's President Tharman Shanmugaratnam has announced nine nominations for Non-Constituency Members of Parliament (NMPs), including two prominent individuals of Indian origin: Dr. Haresh Singaraju, a family physician, and Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari, a union general secretary. These NMPs, selected for their distinguished contributions in work, community, and society, will take their oaths this month. The NMP scheme aims to ensure diverse representation and enrich parliamentary discussions on Singapore's future.
