
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced plans to formulate a state nutrition policy aimed at ensuring nutritious food for vulnerable groups such as children, adolescent girls, and expectant and lactating mothers. The government will establish regional laboratories in key districts for food testing and upgrade the Kandaghat composite laboratory with advanced technology. Regular testing of food under public schemes will be conducted, supported by mobile vans for awareness and training. A digital portal and a state nutrition database will also be developed to enhance efficiency and monitoring.
