Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha indicated that the Revenue and Land Reforms department might investigate allegations of illegal land holdings by RJD supremo Lalu Prasad. Sinha stated that the government would take cognizance if an application is submitted through the 'Jan Kalyan Samvad' mechanism. This statement followed a request from JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar for an inquiry into Prasad's alleged properties. Sinha, who heads the department, also defended his ongoing public meetings despite recent criticism from the Bihar Revenue Service Association regarding his conduct.
