Indian Air Force Upgrades Su-30MKI Jets with Advanced GPS Anti-Jamming Systems
The Indian Air Force is upgrading its Su-30MKI fighter jets with advanced anti-jamming and anti-spoofing multi-constellation GPS antennas under the 'Super Sukhoi' program. This upgrade will enhance navigation accuracy and electronic warfare capabilities by integrating satellite systems like NavIC, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and GAGAN. The modernization covers 258 aircraft and aims to improve operational performance in contested environments. The Su-30MKI's entry into Indian service in the 1990s also supported Russia's struggling aviation industry post-Soviet Union.
