A report by the Human Rights Congress for Bangladesh Minorities (HRCBM) documented 71 incidents linked to blasphemy allegations against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh between June and December 2025. These cases, spread across over 30 districts, often escalated from accusations to mob violence, vandalism of homes, police action, and collective punishment targeting entire communities. The report highlights a pattern of vulnerability for minorities facing religiously framed accusations, with Hindu individuals, including minors, frequently named as accused. The findings have raised concerns in India regarding the treatment of minorities in Bangladesh.
