Karnataka Lokayukta Police conducted searches at 13 properties linked to senior officer Sardar Sarfaraz Khan, Director in the Audit Department of Co-operative Societies and Secretary of the Department of Minority Welfare and Wakf. The raids uncovered assets worth 14.38 crore, including immovable properties valued at 8.44 crore and movable assets totaling 5.93 crore. The searches followed allegations of Khan possessing disproportionate assets. A previous call recording involving Khan and an MLA regarding alleged corruption in housing allotments also surfaced.
