Manipur Security Forces Arrest Militants Over Fuel Station Bombing; Fuel Pumps Reopen

Security forces in Manipur arrested three militants linked to banned groups KYKL and PREPAK for a bomb attack on a fuel station in Bishnupur district on January 8, which caused damage but no injuries. The Manipur Petroleum Dealers Fraternity shut down petrol pumps across the valley from January 10, demanding enhanced security and compensation. Following talks with authorities and security assurances, fuel outlets reopened on January 13. Additionally, an extortionist associated with PREPAK was arrested, and arms and explosives were seized in related operations.
