Amid ongoing protests in Iran since late December, a female Indian student studying at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran is stranded, prompting Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi to urge External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar for her evacuation. India has advised all nationals in Iran to leave by available means due to escalating tensions and a possible US military intervention. Medical student organizations report that around 3,000 Indian students in Iran are currently safe and in contact with the Indian government, though internet blackouts persist and evacuation plans remain under consideration.
