
The Delhi government has increased the annual income limit for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) patients seeking medical treatment in private hospitals from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh. This decision, following Delhi High Court directives, aims to provide relief to a larger number of people in the capital. The Directorate General of Health Services has ordered immediate implementation of the revised criteria by all identified private hospitals.
