The Supreme Court has stayed the Delhi High Court's order that suspended the life sentence and granted bail to former BJP leader Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the Unnao rape case. The survivor's counsel, Mehmood Pracha, described the stay as a 'small relief' and 'time to breathe,' rather than a victory. He criticized the CBI for a limited argument and not consulting the survivor's team, stating the court did not examine the case's core merits. Pracha also raised concerns about the survivor's safety and alleged a powerful network backing Sengar.
