Punjab's Aam Aadmi Party government is launching the second phase of its anti-drug campaign, "Yudh Nashian Virudh 2.0," next week. This phase will involve reformed drug addicts, termed "Soormas," as role models and crusaders. Village-level vigilance groups, "Pindan de Pehredar," will be formed to monitor illicit drug trade. The campaign will also utilize a mobile app for reporting drug issues, engage educational institutions, and establish "Well Being clinics" in jails for inmate treatment and skill training.
