The Indian government has notified the acquisition of 382.82 acres of private land in Assam's Sonitpur district to upgrade the Tezpur Air Force Station. This land will be used for infrastructure development, including the introduction of advanced weapon systems and strategic assets for the Air Force's 11 Wing. The acquisition is being carried out under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Act, 2013.
