The Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) has faced significant challenges since its January 2025 elections, marked by internal infighting and power struggles among its 49 members. Despite Jagdish Singh Jhinda's election as president in May, the committee has struggled with administrative paralysis, including a deadlock over its Rs 104 crore annual budget. Dissolved sub-committees and cancelled appointments have hampered operations, leading employees to seek intervention from the Sikh Gurdwara Judicial Commission regarding salary revisions. A budget meeting is now scheduled for January 7.
