Odisha police have intensified a joint operation in Kandhamal district to capture Sukru, a top Maoist leader commanding around 25-30 armed cadres. Sukru, with a bounty between Rs 55-65 lakh, is accused of killing his deputy Anwesh after the latter planned to surrender. The operation involves multiple security forces targeting Maoist hideouts in Daringbadi and Raikia areas.
