PM Modi to Visit West Bengal and Assam for Infrastructure Projects and Rallies Ahead of Elections

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit West Bengal and Assam on January 17-18 ahead of assembly elections in both states. In West Bengal, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for rail and road projects worth over Rs 3,250 crore, including the first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, and address rallies in Malda and Singur amid political tensions over electoral roll revisions and ED raids. In Assam, Modi will attend a large-scale Bodo cultural event featuring 10,000 performers, lay the foundation for the Rs 6,950 crore Kaziranga elevated corridor, and flag off new Amrit Bharat Express trains, highlighting infrastructure development and cultural outreach in the poll-bound state.
