The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted three consecutive flight trials of the Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha. Designed indigenously by Research Centre Imarat with DRDO labs and industry partners, VSHORADS demonstrated its capability to intercept and destroy high-speed aerial targets at varying speeds, ranges, and altitudes. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the teams, noting the system's readiness for potential induction into the armed forces, advancing India's self-reliance in defence technology.
