Iranian President Pezeshkian Visits Pakistan to Discuss Bilateral and Regional Issues
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Islamabad on June 23 for a day-long state visit to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments with Pakistan's leadership, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Accompanied by a high-level delegation, the visit aims to advance the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and ongoing US-Iran negotiations. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also joined the visit amid Pakistan's role as a mediator in Tehran-Washington dialogue. Security measures were heightened in Islamabad during the visit.
