
The Madras High Court has asked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to clarify if IndiGo will continue to receive exemptions from certain flight duty norms. A petitioner challenged the DGCA's December 5, 2025, exemption, which allows IndiGo to defer compliance with pilot fatigue management provisions, arguing it is illegal and unconstitutional. The exemption permits the airline to bypass stricter limits on flight duty hours and rest periods for flight crew.
