Delhi Government Approves Rs 177 Crore Project to Upgrade Stormwater Drainage

The Delhi government has approved a Rs 177 crore project to remodel and strengthen stormwater drains across north and northwest Delhi under the Drainage Master Plan 2025. Using modern precast RCC drain technology, the initiative aims to improve water flow, durability, and construction speed. Key areas include Gyan Shakti Mandir Marg, Sultanpuri, Rohini, Nangloi Road, and Maharaja Agrasen Marg. The phased project seeks to reduce waterlogging and flooding by upgrading existing drainage infrastructure affected by urban expansion.
