Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan recently interacted with three-year-old landslide survivor Nysa during the inauguration of a township for survivors in Wayanad, where he handed over homes to 178 families affected by the July 30, 2024 disaster. Nysa, who lost family members in the tragedy, had earlier gained attention after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's hospital visit. CPI(M) leaders contrasted the two interactions, praising Vijayan for fulfilling promises while criticizing Modi for not providing further aid after his visit.
