Delhi is set to implement a unified emergency helpline number, 112, allowing residents to access police, fire, ambulance, and disaster management services through a single call. The system, based on the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) 2.0, will also support assistance via a mobile app, panic button, SMS, and online platforms. It features real-time location tracking and dispatches the nearest emergency responders automatically, aiming to improve response times and coordination during emergencies, as announced by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
