Geeta Gawli and Yogita Gawli-Waghmare, daughters of gangster-turned politician Arun Gawli, have filed nomination papers for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. Running as candidates for the Akhil Bharatiya Sena, they stated that voters see them as 'daddy's daughters' who can resolve issues, rather than 'don's daughters'. Geeta is seeking re-election from Byculla ward 212, while Yogita is making her electoral debut in ward 207. The BMC elections are scheduled for January 15.
