Surrendered Maoist Leaders Meet Telangana CM, Seek Enhanced Rehabilitation Support

On February 27, 2026, several recently surrendered senior CPI (Maoist) leaders, including Thippiri Tirupati alias Devuji and Malla Raji Reddy, met Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the State Secretariat in Hyderabad. The leaders expressed their intent to maintain their political agenda and requested enhanced relief and rehabilitation packages comparable to neighboring states. The Chief Minister congratulated them for choosing democratic means over violence and assured support for their security and reintegration. Officials noted that 591 Maoists have joined the mainstream in the past two years under improved rehabilitation policies.
