Indian government officials have refuted claims by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that China mediated the India-Pakistan conflict in May. This follows similar assertions by U.S. President Donald Trump. Officials reiterated that Pakistan requested the ceasefire directly, accepted by India via the DGMO channel, with no third-party role. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi urged the government to officially rebut these claims, stating that improving ties with China cannot compromise India's sovereignty or honor.
