Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring has dismissed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's claims of curbing the drug trade and improving law and order as "fake." Mann stated his government froze Rs 2,730 crore in properties of drug smugglers and arrested over 85,000 peddlers since 2022. Warring countered that statistical figures do not reflect reality, alleging increased intimidation, extortion, and violence, and a loss of public faith in the government and police.
