Comprehensive Security Measures Implemented in Kashmir Ahead of Vice President's Visit

Ahead of Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan's first visit to Kashmir on February 26 to preside over the University of Kashmir's 21st convocation, authorities have implemented extensive security measures. A multi-layered security grid, including counterinsurgency units, quick reaction teams, and intensified patrols, has been established around Srinagar, especially near the Hazratbal campus. Random vehicle checks, area domination operations, and strengthened intelligence efforts aim to prevent threats. Kashmir Police chief V. K. Birdi reviewed detailed plans focusing on protecting critical infrastructure and ensuring safety for all attendees and residents.
