NMA Approves New Pilgrim Facilities Near Shri Grishneshwar Temple in Maharashtra
The National Monuments Authority (NMA) has approved new facilities for devotees at the Shri Grishneshwar Temple in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The project includes a shopping complex, waiting area, pilgrim accommodation, sabha mandap, and a foot overbridge, with building heights capped around 9 to 14 metres. Construction within the temple's prohibited zone remains banned, and any archaeological findings during work will halt progress for ASI notification. The approval followed a presentation by District Collector Vinay Gowda in May.
