Assam is preparing for a large-scale cultural event on January 17, where 10,000 dancers will perform the traditional Bagurumba dance at Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati. The performance will be held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Intensive rehearsals involving artists from across the state are scheduled from January 12 to 15, with January 16 designated as a rest day. Bagurumba is a traditional dance of the Bodo community, known for its nature-inspired movements.
