Santacruz-Chembur Link Road Phase 2 Nears Completion, Enhancing Mumbai Connectivity
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has completed around 98% of Phase 2 of the Santacruz-Chembur Link Road (SCLR) project, including the BKC-Vakola connector. Officials, including Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, inspected the site and urged contractors to expedite remaining work while ensuring safety and quality. Once operational, the 10.88 km corridor will link major highways and areas like BKC, Santacruz, and Chembur, reducing travel time by approximately 35 minutes and easing congestion across Mumbai.
