The BJP has criticized the Jammu and Kashmir government, led by Omar Abdullah, for appointing a retired official, Bashir Ahmad, as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather. BJP spokesman Altaf Thakur described the move as insensitive and anti-youth, questioning the decision to appoint a retired individual to the post.
