The Chandigarh Administration will soon conduct a door-to-door survey of land and properties in five villages—Attawa, Burail, Kajheri, Palsora, and Sarangpur—under the Centre's NAKSHA project. This pilot initiative aims to modernise land records using drone surveys, high-resolution imagery, and GIS mapping to create digitised, transparent ownership databases. Residents are requested to present original property documents for verification, which will be digitally uploaded and returned immediately. The project seeks to reduce disputes and streamline property transactions.
