On January 14, the Indian Coast Guard intercepted the Pakistani fishing vessel 'Al-Madina' with nine crew members operating within India's Exclusive Economic Zone near the International Maritime Boundary Line off Gujarat. The boat attempted to flee but was boarded and towed to Porbandar, where an FIR was filed under the Immigration and Foreigners Act and maritime laws. This follows a similar December incident involving another Pakistani fishing boat. Investigations are ongoing amid increased maritime security efforts.
