Mayawati Announces BSP Will Contest 2027 UP Elections Independently, Appeals to Upper Castes

On her 70th birthday, BSP chief Mayawati announced that the party will contest all elections, including the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, independently without alliances. Citing past experiences where alliances benefited partners more than the BSP, she emphasized strengthening the party alone. Mayawati also reached out to Brahmins and other upper castes, asserting the BSP’s commitment to their dignity, representation, and livelihoods, while criticizing rival parties for neglecting these communities.
