Mumbai's Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) 2026 elections proceeded largely peacefully with over 28,000 police personnel deployed across 10,231 polling stations to maintain order. Mumbai Police assisted senior citizens at polling booths, including helping those with mobility challenges. Minor verbal clashes between rival party workers were reported but quickly contained. The BMC also deployed 1,674 medical teams and 80 ambulances citywide to provide on-site healthcare, ensuring voter safety during the polling process.
