Tamil Nadu HR CE Minister P. K. Sekarbabu announced that 127 temples in Kanniyakumari district have been consecrated during the current DMK government's tenure. He highlighted renovations and construction projects, including protective sheds for temple cars and temple tank restorations, totaling ₹4.04 crore. Sekarbabu also mentioned the ongoing construction of a devotee resting room and the restoration of Eraniel fort, with an additional ₹8 crore allocated. He visited a temple and urged officials to expedite ongoing works.
